The Big Top 40 launched on the 14th June 2009 and is the UK’s biggest national chart show, it is the first ever real time show for the download generation. The show plays all the hits from the charts but listeners can also influence the Top 10 by downloading their favourite tracks from the iTunes Store (www.itunes.co.uk) during the LIVE show. The Top 10 positions are reviewed each hour, with the final 10 ‘locked down’ and revealed on air between 6 – 7pm.
The networked Big Top 40 radio show, broadcasts live each Sunday from 4pm to 7pm and is hosted by Britain’s hottest radio duo, Rich Clarke & Kat Shoob reaching over two million listeners. As the biggest commercial radio show in the UK, the chart is broadcast to over 141 stations across the country including the Heart and Galaxy networks, 95.8 Capital FM and the rest of the Hit Music Network, Bauer’s Big City Network, GMG’s Real and on DAB digital radio.
